About Stagnum
Stagnum is a swampy and complicated region. From the extremely wet area in the center and west to the dry, barren landscape of the north, Stagnum’s three different terrains make it quite a unique place. Stagnum is known for the toxic fumes that blanket the region with an overwhelmingly horrible scent that is unnoticeable to the people of Stagnum but outsiders can’t stand. These fumes are a precious commodity and are funneled into large domes that create power/electricity which Stagnum uses and will also sell to other regions making this region an economic powerhouse. Creatures of this region are descendants of kangaroos, koalas and fungi. Stagnum is affiliated with the Tenebrae faction and the key personality traits include: Introversion, Sensing, Feeling, Perceiving.

THE Stagnugen
Individuals in this region contain the genetic markings of a kangaroo, koala and fungi. A Stagnugen’s body is covered with different types of fungi. The fungi interact with other spores on other Stagnugen so these people use their bodies to communicate with others (including the mating process). A Stagnugen’s face is similar to a modern day koala with wide, forward facing dark eyes, a large nose that runs from the top of the forehead to the top of the mouth and furry, wide set ears. In general, these people are small statured, usually not more than 160 cm max. Their legs similar to a kangaroo however, the people spend more time on their toes versus very bent legs.

THE FLORA & FAUNA
Stagnum’s landscape is split in 3 distinct areas. In the south central part of the region, the area is completed covered in water; swampy, with algae and mosses covering the top layer of water. In the area to the west, this land is populated with trees and forest and some swamp. The area has a tendency to flood in the wet season causing many of the plants to bloom with such ferocity; the greens are plentiful and vibrant. People in this area live in the most incredible tree homes; multiple rooms, multiple floors, lots of items. During the warmest part of the year, the water in this region will shine an iridescent rainbow color that is mesmerizing to look at. As the region expands northward, the land is dry and barren; it is this land that borders the grass plains region. This area, known as the Dread, is the most dry, dead and decrepit. Plants, trees and even the animals have a look to them that can only be described as lethargic.
