Track V0.1 Is Here!!!
Hey! I wanted to share some quick updates on the game progress. Primorbis and Primorbis PvP (Player vs. Player) are making slow and steady progress. The board art is no complete and I’ve ordered some materials to make some prototype boards. The PvP board was easy since it’s only 10”x10” but the full Primorbis RPG style game board is 24”x36” which makes it a little hard to get a prototype print made. So, I’m going to try and make my own with raw materials. The up-side to this is that I will learn about the components and process to making a quality product. It’s just going to take some more time.
In more important news, the first printing of Track v0.1 just arrived! Literally less than an hour before writing this blog. I’m super excited and wanted to share. I’ll have more images posted later this week in the Beta games page: https://www.primogengames.com/trackv03
Until then, here’s an image of the core box. I’m going to make a few adjustments to colors and some font sizes and layout but for the most part, it looks great. Shout out to The Game Crafter for doing an awesome job! They also turned it around surprisingly quick for it being the holiday season. Right now, at cost with small print runs, the full 8 player game expansions would run about $70 each. If I order a LOT myself or do pre-order sales on my site and then place a bulk order that cost can come down a lot (like more in the $40-$50 range) still with low profit margin but it’s something. Right now, since Primogen Games is fully funded by my own income, I’d hope to take half the profits from Track and reinvest them in Track v0.2+ to make it better with improved art work, then take the other half of the profits and use them on Primorbis. Basically, I’m working for free, but I love the journey and I’m not doing this for the money, as much as, my passion for making the most amazing games people have ever played. I’ll be honest though, making a living doing this would be wonderful to…some day.
If you’ve taken the time to read this, I hope you’re as excited as I am to get this game on the table and start playing Track v0.1!
